Vine, Carl, 1954-

Composer. Carl Vine was born in Perth in 1954. He studied piano at the University of Western Australia. Moving to Sydney in 1975, he worked as a freelance pianist and composer with a great range of ensembles, theatre and dance companies over the following decades. In 2000 Vine was appointed Artistic Director of Musica Viva Australia. In 2006 he was appointed Artistic Director of the Huntington Estate Music Festival.
